Post Holiday Hatfield's

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since posted something, but when you find out what's happening in our world you will understand!

We had a great Holiday and New Year and the kids were very happy with their Santa Loot! They were off school for three weeks so there was lots of shuffling between us and Christine, but we made it though. Rich's Mom came up on the 22nd to spend the Holidays with us, and she is still here! She is having some health issues, so she will be staying with us until we find her the appriate place to call home. So Rich has been wonderful in taking care of yet another person! He is definitely Superman. It's been a bit hard on the family as there is NO alone time, and the kids have to share the top bunk so La La can sleep on the bottom bunk. So in our 900 square foot house we have three adults, two kids and two dogs. And one bathroom might I add! It is temporary so we are just looking forward to getting back to normal.

And to add to our list of thing "to do" we just bought a house in Ormewood Park, which is closer into town...where we both have wanted to live. It's very close to the Zoo and parks - including a dog park. It's a very active neighborhood and there is a Charter School that we are hoping to get the kids into - so keep your fingers crossed as we register on 2/4. Other options would have to be private schools with tuition and we would rather not go that route!

So....we are busy, busy here trying to take care of everyone and everything in our lives. We love each other very much and it's sometimes a struggle, but it's so worth it!

I have included a few pix from the kids school. We haven't been taking any lately, but I'm sure we will get back to that soon, as well!

Love you all!

Blood Mountain, November 2007

Here are a couple pix from our hiking trip to Blood Mountain in North Georgia. We went a few weekends before Thanksgiving - it was a beautiful day and we hiked about 10 miles up to the top...good workout. And after that lovely yoga pose on the rock, I almost fell off the mountain. Literally, I grabbed onto a tree to keep from going over. Lucky day for me!

Thanksgiving 2007 - Clearwater, FL

Hi Everyone,

Hope your Holidays have started off well! We traveled 8 hours south to Clearwater, FL to visit Rich's family over Thanksgiving. My sister, Shawn, and my Mom flew in as well - and it was awesome! We had a great time. Despite the cold rainy days, we managed to make it to the beach a couple times and to Wikki Wachee to see the Mermaid Show. The kids loved that!

Shawn and I spent a little too much time in the back of the Jeep, but it was great bonding time. We needed that! I love you sis! Here are some pix...and you are going to love Aidan's sandcastle that he created all by himself!!!!

It was Rich's Birthday on the 28th of November so we celebrated while in Florida. the kids got I Love Dad PJs as a suprise.

Hugs to all of you!

More NC Pix

Here are some pix my sister took....

Halloween

Hi Everyone,
Here are a few pix of the kids from Halloween (including the big kid, Rich). Aidan was Dash from the Incredibles and McKenna was Super Girl. Emma (their step sister) was also Super Girl. We trick or treated down Rugby Ave. in College Park and there were so many kids that they had to wait in line sometimes. It's a very nice street with wide roads and big houses that really decorate for the tradition. Police are present to keep the peace, many goblins and ghosts are roaming the streets, it was very exciting for the kids!!

Oh, and McKenna got in a little trouble before the pix so she looks a little sad. We couldn't get her to smile until she got a piece of candy...then she got a little happier.

NC

Hi Everyone,
We spent the weekend in NC with my Mom and sister who came down from NY and Ohio to meet us. We had a great time on the farm with my Aunt and Uncles and three cousins. We had homemade Chicken Stew and made smores around the fire, went four wheeling, hiked and just had a nice relaxing time with the family. It was so nice to see everyone!
