Let is Snow!

What a weekend! I felt like I was back in Ohio, I was just missing my friends and my sister! We had about 3 inches of snow on Friday afternoon - enough to go sledding, build an 6 ft. snowman and make some snow ice cream. That snow ice cream really impressed the kids - Aidan said we could make so much money if we sold it!

Here are some pix of our fun in the snow...we were so happy to see the kids having so much fun. What a great childhood memory!

Happy New Year!

I know it's a little late, but Happy New Year to everyone! We had a great time at the Vatalaro's house on NYE and the kids made it past midnight and all the way to 1:30am. They did great, aside from the sparkler burn that McKenna got early on (hence the sad face in the one picture), it was a nice festive evening that flew by with great conversation and a few spirits. And we played a little WII Rock Band. Here are a few pix of the night.

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone is staying warm this winter! We have had some cold temps for Atlanta down in the teens, so going outside is not our favorite thing to do these days. We are still managing to get the dogs out for walks, but they are a little shorter than normal.

He had a great Christmas, was very quiet. I must say I missed my family coming in, but Rich, Aidan, McKenna, Donna (Rich's Mom) and myself did have a nice time. And the kids had a lot of fun opening presents from Santa. I took the week between Christmas and New Years off, so we spent a lot of time playing all the games and putting together all the things they got for Christmas. I think we finally put the last battery in on Sunday of last week. It was exhausting, but lots of fun!

The mantle was decorated with Donna's Santa Clauses - we were very happy to display her years of collecting! And funny, Jessie would just lay in front of the Christmas tree and stare at it for hours. It was so cute!

Here are some pix for you to share in the fun....

Thanksgiving & Rich's Birthday

Happy Holidays! This is a bit late, but due to the Holidays I'm running a bit behind! We had a great Thanksgiving with our friends Rachel, Kristian and Joe - lots of great food and fun! Rich's Birthday was the 28th and the kids wanted to take him to the Zoo for his big day. So off to the Zoo we went. Here are some favorite pictures from that day! The Zoo is only a mile from our house and a block from the kids school, so the kids are very familiar and get to go often. They love to go into the Petting Zoo and brush the goats. Rich got a little close to the goats with red collars, which they warn you to not pet. Does he listen? No. He almost got butted!!! He's just like a little boy - they say "don't" he "does". I guess it was his Birthday so he can do what he wants! Enjoy the pictures and Happy Holidays!!

Trip to CA

A few weeks ago I went to visit Audrey (Wright) Stansbury in California. She is pregnant for the first time so congrats Audge!! Mary Helen (Audrey's Mom) also came out for the visit and we had a very fun girls weekend complete with great food, wine, bad chick flick, shopping, walks, coffee and bagels and even High Tea at the Trump National Golf Club. What a beautiful drive to and from High Tea - we even saw the whales migrating. Was a great weekend, thank you ladies! I also got a chance to see my dear friend Theodore who is doing great in LA. He blew out my hair for old time sake and then we ate lunch at Lemonade - what a great place!
