Roller Girl

After Mac and I went to The Fox to see the Sound of Music sing-a-long (which so sooo fun)...kind of a Rocky Horror Picture Show cult-like experience, we met up with Rich and Aidan who were at the new skate park in the Old 4th Ward neighborhood, where the boys were rollerblading, riding scooters and skateboarding. Yes, Rich was right in there and has the boo-boos to prove it. Very cool place and I only got some pix of Mac. thanks to Michelle Bergin, we have a picture of Rich. Was a fun day!

Meet Bobble....

A few weeks ago my friend Stephanie and I were on a walk and came across a baby Robin flopping around on the sidewalk. Being soft souls (and my mother's daughter), we couldn't just leave him there for the cats to find, so we found a pet carrier that someone had discarded a few houses down and Stephanie took him home. Her sweet husband, Rob, took him to the Ormewood Animal Clinic right down the street and lucky us, Kirsten that works there is a Wildlife specialist and took in the little birdie. He flops around on his side and can't stand, so they named him Bobble. They feed him (apparently eating lots and lots of cat food), and cuddle with him and bring thim back and forth to the office daily. They think something might be wrong because he keeps flopping on his side, but they said he was starting to peck at worms, so that was a good sign. We are happy to have saved his little life.

Exteme Sports Injuries

Well, it comes with the territory, but was a rough couple days with lots of tears as McKenna wiped out on her scooter, and Aidan was going down hill on Freedom Parkway and got going too fast, panicked and bailed off the skateboard. Was his first experience getting the wind knocked out and he had some nice scrapes. But, happy to say they both got back on the horse and rode again!

Blue Mac

The kids went to Camp Invention in June (thank you Aunt Shawn) and they had wacky hair day on Wednesday. McKenna asked if she could have blue hair, so we found some semi-permanent dye and she screamed when she saw her new do! Was too cute. But unfortunatley, a boy in her group had bleached his hair blonde, THEN dyed it blue so it was a bit shocking. She was disappointed that she had been out done....was still fun though. Lasted a few days.

Walk down memory lane....

My friend Emily from Ohio has ventured out west and is now living in Seattle. Our friend Cheryl put together an awesome photo book and we each contributed some pics from the past. I can't believe I'm letting these out of the attic, but here goes! A few pics of us girls from the 80's!
